4. What to do while waiting for your Ender 3?
While waiting for the Ender to come, there are few things you can do.
1. Gather Knowledge
One is read articles, watch youtube videos about Ender 3 or 3D printing, in general, absorb as much information you can about printing. All3dp.com is a failproof start.
Join the official Facebook group of Creality, go through the posts and comments. The posts about issues and the comments about the solutions are a great way to learn the technology.
2. Gather Accessories
One of the great resources that I found was this howchoo article. This article explains the possible upgrades and modifications that you can do on the Ender 3. While it is tempting to go and buy all the upgrades it is a good idea not to do it.
Having said that, I did order a glass hot-bed (no affiliation) as I was convinced that it will be required eventually. In hindsight, I feel that I should have bought a digital caliper. That comes handy to measure the dimension of your prints.
Also, do not forget to order the filament. There is a small length of filament that comes with Ender, but it just meant for test printing. Here are couple of notes (What type of filament should I use?, Which PLA filament brand is better?) on what I learned.
These are the two videos that give you a context on what you are getting into:
Below are the youtube channels that I really liked during this learning phase. The first three are my favorite.
